1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Visrata, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Visrata is a travel utility that helps you plan group trips. The App provides features including trip planning, group chat, shared itinerary, map-based destination planning, expense tracking and splitting, and a vault for documents and media. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Visrata. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; see our Privacy Policy for more details.

4. User Accounts

To use most features, you must create an account using your phone number (verified via OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

5. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree to use Visrata only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm another user
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Collect or harvest user data without consent

6. User Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content. You retain ownership of content you create, upload, or share (messages, photos, documents, trip plans). By sharing content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the service to you and your trip members.

Our Property. The App, its design, features, trademarks, and underlying technology are owned by Visrata and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the App to:

• Plan or promote illegal activities
• Distribute spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications
• Share content that infringes third-party rights, is defamatory, or violates privacy
• Manipulate expense splits for fraud or evasion
• Resell or redistribute access to the App

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The App may integrate third-party services (e.g., maps, push notifications). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, links, or services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VISRATA AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES (₹100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Visrata, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. You agree to attempt informal resolution before pursuing formal legal action.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when these Terms were last revised.
